Sunrise Cityscape over Johannesburg

I have recently been very blessed to be able to attend a number of amazing workshops with the NextGen Photo Academy. This post is based on one of those workshops. The workshop was to shoot the Johannesburg Cityscape at sunrise and was one I was not going to miss as I really love the Johannesburg Skyline and what could be more beautiful that to watch the city I live in wake up. The day would mean a vey early start as we we’re to meet at the agreed location at 5am in order to be on the rooftop of the Hallmark Towers building in the Maboneg Precinct in time for sunrise. On the 21st June 2014  we all met at the agreed parking spot and proceed to the rooftop 15 storeys up so we could shoot the Johannesburg Skyline. As it happened this was by far one of Johannesburg coldest winter mornings with what felt like sub zero temperatures and a howling wind that blew right though us. I must say that despite the cold the excitement amongst the group of photographers was tangible with each person setting up their equipment and starting to shoot various views of the city in the pre dawn light and onwards into the sunrise.  Thanks you Craig, Pierre, Rob and the rest of the NextGen Photo Academy team for this amazing opportunity to shoot the Jozi Skyline at sunrise.

I hoe you enjoy these images and should you wish to purchase them please email me on info { at }  sandersonphoto.co.za for more details or to discuss the options available.
